Life is disturbed due to dirty and rotten water supply

KLUANG, 8 AUGUST: The daily lives of residents in Kluang have been affected by the dirty water supply and stinking from the start of the month.

Tan Hong Ping, state assemblyman (MP), said he was aware of the problem after finding water in his own home was muddy and had a bad smell a few days ago.

He added that although the Johor Water Company (SAJ) managed to solve the problem in his home area, the same problem was still occurring in some other areas.

He said the Facebook page received similar complaints by many Facebook users living there.

"Even until yesterday, I still receive the same complaint. Most affected areas are nearby cities, "he said when contacted by Roketkini.

According to the comments of the residents on his Facebook page, the areas affected by this are Taman Kluang Indah, Taman Bersatu, Taman Emas and Taman Sri Kluang.

Hence, he said, he will meet with SAJ to bring this problem to the finish as soon as possible.

"I have collected the initial information on this problem and will meet SAJ's officers this Sunday to make a report and get more information.

"SAJ is at least to be sure, whether it's safe to use or not, not to mention water is our basic necessity," he said.
