Do not commit suicide because the river is dirty

A 48-year-old man who tried to soften himself in an attempt to commit suicide in the river here overturned his wishes as the river water was too dirty.

The man, known only as Liu, told police, he suffered a huge loss in his business, causing him to commit suicide.

He plunged into the Yiwu River yesterday. Once in the river, he was annoyed with the decision because the river water was too dirty and rotten, before he tried to swim to the cliff.

However, it is not easy for him to do so because of the rush of the river, which is also compounded by heavy rain.

He managed to float himself when he was swept upstream. Luckily anyone saw it before calling the police.

He told the medical team: "I did not commit suicide because the river water was rotten and dirty. I will not try again to commit suicide.
