about the supply of water that contains rust

AMPANG: "I did not pay water bills," said a resident of Taman Dagang Phase 1 here, about the supply of water containing rust and too low water pressure.
Residents, Maimun Samsudin, 48, said the water supply was very dirty and feared would cause health problems if it was used for cooking purposes.
"Before, I used water filters to get clean and odorless water, but they were still yellowish and still smelling," he said, residing in the housing estate for almost 20 years.
He said the problem arose since 2001 before becoming more serious two years ago and at first, he thought the water tank at his house was damaged or rusted, thus changing it in June.
However, he said the problem of rusting water was not complete, but water pressure was low, causing the water flow to the home pipes to be too slow so that it was difficult to do daily activities such as washing and bathing.
According to him, when the old tank was dropped, he was surprised to see a 10-centimeter-thick corrosion in it and believed the dirty water problem was due to the rusted underground pipeline.
